What are we doing?

We are upgrading the vSphere environment in our ISL1 and VEN1 VPC availability zones.

What does this mean to you?

During part of the maintenance where the vCenter Server is being upgraded, customers with virtual machines in ISL1 or VEN1 will not be able to manage the setup or state of their virtual machines through the VPC Portal. This includes powering on or off, resizing resources, taking snapshots or accessing the ‘virtual console’. This is anticipated to last for approximately 4 hours while components update.

For the remainder of the upgrade, we will be updating the physical hosts which will have no impact on management.

Throughout the entire maintenance, all virtual machines should continue to run and you will be able to access them directly (for example via SSH, Remote Desktop, Web services, etc).
